The Northport Industrial Park provides fully serviced industrial sites in a convenient location with ample size to expand. Qualified businesses can even receive incentives including Tax Increment Financing or Revolving Loan Funds.

The North Mankato Port Authority serves as the economic development and redevelopment arm of the City of North Mankato. It was began in 1985 and has all the powers of a Port Authority as established under applicable Minnesota Statute. The Commission also has HRA powers under Minnesota Statute.

Northport Industrial Park is owned by the North Mankato Port Authority Commission in partnership with BENCO Electric. Fully serviced industrial sites are available in the Park.

The Small Business Development Center located in Mankato Minnesota, offers no-cost, customized consulting to businesses throughout their entire life cycle, from the excitement of the idea stage and the thrill of the launch to the challenges of growth periods and distressed times.

Greater Mankato Growth, Inc. is comprised of Greater Mankato Growth, the regional chamber of commerce and economic development organization; Visit Mankato, the local destination management organization; City Center Partnership, a downtown development organization; and GreenSeam.

In 2009, a progressive group of the communities and counties joined together with Greater Mankato Growth to efficiently provide both regional and individual city and county information to businesses interested in the Greater Mankato marketplace, this group is known as the Regional Economic Development Alliance or REDA.
Region Nine Development Commission works with and on behalf of counties, cities, townships and schools throughout South Central Minnesota. Being a partner for progress has led to the development of programs and identification of solutions in the areas of economic development, business development, healthy communities, transportation and community development.
Nicollet County lies in South Central Minnesota and resembles an isosceles triangle with 104.6 miles of Minnesota River front. Within the 280,866.22 total acres in the county, almost 245,000 acres is farmland with 24,000 acres of forest land and 12,000 acres of wetland. The county is composed of 5 cities and 13 townships.
